Sacramento comedian Andrew Ouellette interview

Forgot to post this a couple weeks ago:

My people! Read about the newest addition to Sacramento's comedy scene Andrew Ouellette, in an article just posted:

Where's he been? What's he doing next? Why on Earth would he talk to me? Most of these questions answered, and so much more*!

Cull of the wild

Man, I get sick of preachy comics. Pointing and laughing at the nobodies and wanna-bes making their mistakes as they find their way in the dark, with little or no experienced advice. Declaring that so-and-so, who does this or that, ain't a "real" comedian. It stinks.

Big fish in small ponds or vice-versa, we're all just trying to do our thing. But at some point it's frustrating and exhausting, especially when it's the speaker's way of separating themselves from "lesser" performers. We get it, you're a big deal, you're better, more experienced. There will always be people above us on the ladder, and always people below.

If you want to see less of the myopic, idiotic shit we (ALL) do, offer some advice, help a motherfucker out, be positive, and offer a hand up, not a boot to the head. It's non-constructive, and it's a little lazy.

Example: Jason Resler will occasionally bust out some general rules of thumb as he sees fit, and just stick it to the nearest digital wall for the benefit of whom-the-Hell-ever. Free advice from his years in the trenches. Take it or leave it, it's a weary altruism, but  altruism nonetheless. Constructive. Some of you just bitch, and contribute little but derision. We've got enough of that, but thanks just the same.

It's just an expression of their frustration, much like this post is mine, I get it. Still, it gets tiring. Phooey.
